The arcade game of the SIMS is quite basic. There are only a few characters to choose from. There is a male and a female that is pre-created for the game. There is also no option to chance the décor of the house in the arcade version.
The Need Bar for the game is similar to the regular game. The needs of the SIMS must be satisfied. The needs are Hunger, Bladder, Hygiene, Social and Fun. For your SIM needs fun, this can be satisfied by having them watch television, whereas the bladder need is achieved by letting your SIM go to the bathroom. The SIMS can also use things around the home to gain skills. For example, cooking gives them a cooking skill point.
The arcade version of the SIMS might not have the detailed graphics of the original game, but it is possible to still spend house enjoying it.
